Ref. 69 en El Bruc

 Really helpful group of people, nothing too much trouble especially when we asked for our shopping to be delivered to the house, as we were travelling over land on a motorbike. Very quick to respond to any of our questions. The description of the house was exactly what it said. Can Olle de la Guardia is a fantastic piece of paradise, and the owners superb hosts. We had an absolutely fantastic stay! Can de Olle was beautiful, tranquil and more enjoyable than we could have imagined. Our hosts were wonderful and basically invisible except upon arrival and departure. The washing machine was out of commission during our stay, but the staff washed our clothes for us, no additional charge. This was a great bargain, well located for our purposes of touring Catalunya and just delightful. W.C. 09.07.2007

We thought the villa was truly excellent, a real find. Clean, intersting, comfortable, with character and Spanish charm...very friendly and helpful owners too. Maybe the 4km drive on a dirtroad is not so good but thats a small price to pay for such a great relaxing place. Found you simply be trawling the net, would definitely use you again. The Villa at El Bruc is the perfect escape for families who want to visit Barcelona, yet remain in a rural and child-friendly setting. We hired a nanny from Barcelona who stayed with us and allowed us to take explorations, while the children played back at the villa. The proximity to Montserrat was unexpected. This villa is literally in the park and offers some amazing hiking opportunities. The access road to the villa was jarring at first as we thought we were entering the abyss. What a pleasant surprise to be greeted by the immaculate grounds, comfortable accommodations and the charming private chapel. The unimproved dirt road gets shorter with each passage. There is a pond with geese and ducks, a myriad of sitting venues, a grand pool and terraces could offer you a different vantage for breakfast each morning.  The villa itself was very well appointed. The owners are florists, so the aesthetic was storybook. I would suggest bringing everything you need for cooking, as some basic items like oil, pepper, etc. were not available. El Bruc, not much of town, actually has a few nice markets and bakeries with locally grown produce and artisan products. Barcelona is also a very easy commute (40 minutes max) and we even found ourselves driving in for dinner on occasion. Plan ahead with reservations if you want to sample some of the spectacular food in town. A.Z. 01.10.2006

We had a wonderful stay at this most exquisite of places.The owner is obviously very proud of what he has acheived there and rightly so.We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves as no one was staying in the other apartment so we felt even more priveledged.The area is extremely remote so a car is essential and because of the unmade road probably a 4x4 is advised.The remoteness however is what makes it so appealing at least it did to us. We would thouroughly recommend the property to anyone who is looking for a country retreat with peace and quiet.There are even wild boar around roaming freely in the fields. We had a truly wonderful time at the villa. It was a very beautiful spot. A little difficult to find. But we truly didn't mind once we had arrived it was like arriving at shangrila. The owners are very kind and sweet. The condo was spotless and beautifully maintained by them. The gardens are total amazing and the pool was wonderful. We loved spain and the villa was perfect. Just to let you know that we had a lovely holiday which was made even more special by the superb accommodation the we had to return home to at the end of each day. We couldnt fault the accommodation at all,it was certainly worth the trip of 4Km up a dirt track, and it contained all the necessary things that you would ever need in self catering. I learned of your company through the search engine ASK.co.uk and it was the first time we had booked a holiday over the internet, I only wish that I had been able to speak Spanish or Catalan to be able to converse with Senior and Seniora Arranz and would certainly book through yourselves again. I think it would be appreciated if the accommodation could have details of nearest supermarket (in all languages) and opening times.And various leaflets of places of interest, although there was a file with leaflets in they were mainly in other languages.
