The setting is idyllic and we were very pleased with the quality of the accommodation. Lluisa and Ernest were great hosts. They were very helpful in booking restaurants and giving advice but were not at all intrusive. It was nice to have free access to the internet. We particularly liked being able to sit directly outside the villa in shade or sunshine. The pool was of a good quality and well maintained. Our children loved the direct environment of the villa and the fact that there were sheep and dogs and cats and a horse. Best wishes T.M. 25.08.2009
The villa itself was absolutely perfect and Ernest and Luisa were brilliant - helpful but not intrusive and very friendly. The setting was just what we wanted, rural, peaceful - magical really. Our children could play in safety and loved having cats, dogs, sheep and a horse around all of the time. The swimming pool and outdoor cooking/eating area were lovely too. Falling asleep with the sound of running water from the stream and waking up to dappled sunlight through the trees - good therapy, instant relaxation! The track down to the house is very rough - our standard Audi hire car bottomed out at times and all the time when it was full of our luggage! I would hate for that to put people off though - once you get used to it it's fine! Thanks for everything! J.W. 11.08.2007
We had a brilliant time and couldn't have wished for a better villa or better hosts. Ernest and Luisa are lovely, relaxed and friendly hosts and our 2 kids had a great time - it was great for them to play on a farm and get to know all the animals. They had thought of everything with the villa and its amenities (especially the play area and bridges etc) so I can't think of anything lacking. I have been recommending you and the villa to people and shall continue to do so! I found the website just by browsing the internet. Many thanks to everyone at North Spain Villas and especially to Ernest and Louisa. We had a wonderful stay in ideal surroundings.We awoke to perfect surroundings and a proper introduction to Ernest and Louisa. They were both welcoming and helpful, giving useful advice and seeking out information for us from the internet. The villa was perfectly situated, clean, tidy and well appointed. I knew we had found a special place when as early as day two the children were asking if we could come back in the future, we certainly intend to. We had a great day in Barcelona, following Ernest's advice and Louisa's printout and taking the train. We also had a days skiing in the Pyrenees at Vale D' Nuria, an hours drive and a funicular rail journey away. All in all a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable winter break. We selected North Spain Villas upon recommendation from a colleague, we will certainly be passing that recommendation on. It is obvious that Ernest and Louisa take great care in providing an excellent all round service and not just in the provision of first class accommodation. We had a wonderful stay in our cottage. The cottage was absolutely perfect and spotlessley clean. The location was fabulous, so peaceful and relaxing. Louisa and Ernest were most welcoming and helpful during our stay, such lovely people. We will definitely be using North Spain Villas again. R.O. 17.09.2005 We felt like we had ended up in Paradise; it was a perfect location for us as we like to get away from it all, but as we also had two teenagers with us, it was close enough to Barcelona for them to get the buzz from visiting that city. Ernest and Louisa are the perfect hosts, very welcoming and helpful but totally respectful of your privacy. We had bbq's nearly every night and found the supermarket in nearby Arbucies well equipped for the self catering holiday maker. I also thought Gerona was well worth a visit, we had a lovely day out there. We will definitely want to go again; it's just finding the time to get away from work. Having Ernest and Louisa on site to help out when necessary was such a bonus. They 're both very nice and very helpful. The Villa was equipped with everything we needed. We stayed at another villa the next week which did not have enough basics in the kitchen, this helped us appreciate Louisa's thoughtfulness in the provision of all we needed for self-catering. The villa was lovely, DVD player AND DVD's such a bonus to keep the kids entertained at night, thank-you.The pool was excellent, lovely surroundings, great for long walks and birdwatching. My son Jacob specially enjoyed Ernest's "driving range", and playing Golf with Ernest,again thankyou.Oh! the free internet access on a fast PC, what a blessing with kids who needed to keep in touch with friends. This was definitely very important to kids and the adults were able to keep up with world news. Excellent facilities in leaflets, computer information and of course Ernest and Louisa great help in finding activities for our holiday. I rate this villa very highly. Your internet service was excellent, all went smoothly and great to have English speakers on the phone to help with enquiries. I have already recommended your site to colleagues.. Thanks again. Thank you to Northspainvillas and especially to Ernest and Louisa for our wonderful stay at L'Estada. It is on the edge of a national park, buried in a valley, very rural and peaceful. Ernest and Louisa made us feel extremely welcome and relaxed sharing their family farm, having our own space. The accomodation, although 2km off the beaten track, was in easy access to the costa brava, and the national park. Louisa pointed us in the direction of a quiet, spanish beach, which was completely deserted, no development and wonderful for our family, yet only 10 mins drive from restaurants and bars of the nearby resorts. L'Estada was close to good local amenities. We had a fantastic holiday and throughly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the real Spain. R. H. 01.07.2005
Our stay with Ernest and Luisa at V11 was absolutely perfect. We stayed for a month and loved every minute of it! I would highly recommend both the services of your company, and this particular property, to anyone who wants something better than the tourist traps without sacrificing any quality or comfort. We felt like we were discovering a little corner of Spain and got a more authentic experience - as well as we could without speaking the language. We were able to experience a local festival and several of the events that were associated with that. We had one of the best meals that we have had in our life at a restaurant owned by a friend of Ernest. We found that the property was better than the pictures, which is wonderful when shopping by internet. We had fun visiting the local towns, the beach and easily commuted into Barcelona by train, so that we didn't have to deal with the traffic in Barcelona. And we also had wonderful lazy days on the farm, sitting around reading, laying by the pool, barbecuing and walking in the woods. I went back to your website and can't suggest any improvements. And don't have suggestions for improvement for the accommodations. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the assistance your company gave us throughout this rental - we understand from Ernest that your company recently received an award and we congratulate you - your website and service are excellent. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, life since I've been back has been very busy. I would love to be back at the villa. The website I found to be very informative and helpful in making a choice of location. Your reservation team was wonderful and helper me a great deal. When I had questions Simona got back to me right away and gave me good information. The villa itself was just great. It was clean and very nicely kept. Well supplied with all the utensils and dishes. The owners were very nice and helpful to us. They made us feel at home which made for a wonderful trip. I couldn't have been more pleased with everything.
